Now before you jump to conclusions, no, my step-father is not dead; he has prostate cancer. He was feeling poorly and having bowel problems, so he went to the doctor. They did a prostate exam. Now, a normal prostate reading is 7; Bill's reading was 47. Luckily he's receiving treatment, but the idea is still frightening. Cancer in general is just a very scary word. As much as I'd love to donate to research a cure for cancer, I haven't the money to do so. The next best thing I can do is raise awareness and hopefully remind men everywhere to get that dreaded check-up, just to make sure everything's A-OK down there.

Gentlemen, forget your pride and get yourself checked yearly. Please.
